1.CLEAR THE WEAPON
You’ve decided that not complying or running away are an option in a sneak attack scenario and now your plan is to take the gun. The first and most obvious move is to get clear of the weapon. Simply put, that means move from in front of the muzzle.
2.CONTROL THE WEAPON
The second step after moving out of the way of the bullet(in 90% of these encounters the gun will go off)is to get control of the weapon. That is to say you want to control the direction the weapon is going to face from now on to insure it doesn’t come back on you.
3.DISARM A PERSON WITH A GUN
Now that you have control of the weapon we’ve come to the good part, disarming this person. This can be done by simply snatching the weapon away.
4.DISABLE YOUR ASSAILANT
Now that you have taken the gun from your attacker, disabling them can mean anything from taking off, forcing them to take off or get on the ground for the cops or worst case scenario, clearing their weapon and shooting them.
